Paint Among the Plants: An Autumn Evening

As the days get shorter and the colours begin to change, join artist Elisa Capitanio for a relaxed evening of painting among the plants at Elmgrove Irish Flower Farm. We’ll begin by looking at the colours, shapes and textures of the season and exploring how they can become inspiration for an abstract painting. Elisa will guide you through ways of translating what you see into colour, lines and marks – or, if you prefer, you’re completely free to follow your own ideas. This isn’t about everyone painting the same picture. It’s about slowing down, experimenting and enjoying the process. After painting, stay for pizza and a soft drink from Elmgrove and enjoy the autumn evening together. No painting experience is needed and all materials are provided. You’ll leave with your own original painting to take home.Event details:- Thursday 22 October from 5pm–7.30pm.

Your ticket includes the guided painting experience with Elisa, canvas and all painting materials, plus pizza and a soft drink.
Food & allergies: Your ticket includes one freshly made pizza and a soft drink. Choose from Margherita, Marinara, Pepperoni or Caprese. Please note that gluten-free pizza is not available. The Marinara is the dairy-free option. If you have any food allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know when booking so we can confirm whether these can be accommodated.

Step away from the everyday and spend an autumn morning surrounded by nature and creativity at Elmgrove Farm. We’ll start with a gentle walk around the farm, taking time to notice the colours, shapes, textures and details of the changing season. Take photos of whatever catches your eye, then return to the polytunnel where artist Elisa Capitanio will help you turn that inspiration into your own painting. You can follow Elisa’s guidance to explore a more abstract approach, or simply use the time and materials to paint in your own way. No experience is needed. This is a relaxed creative experience rather than a traditional painting class, there’s no right painting to make. We’ll finish the morning with tea or coffee and a homemade scone from Elmgrove Café.
